Easy Hikes in Allgäu (Germany)
Allgäu is for sure one of the prettiest regions in Germany. There's an incredibly amount of hiking trails which allow you to enjoy nature to the fullest. This is why we want to show you 5 easy hikes in Allgäu!
Buchenegger Wasserfälle
There's not only one, but two waterfalls on this hike. Even kids aged 6 years and older can do this hike - so it can most definitely be considered child friendly. If it's hot outside, you can even swim in one of the waterfalls.

Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes
Ascent: 181 m
Salmaser Höhe
This hiking tour offers incredible views - you can even see the Alpsee from the top. (You can swim in it after your hike!) Another mountain range you can see is the "Nagelfluhkette", which is also breathtakingly beautiful.

Duration: 3 hours
Ascent: 500 m
Starzlachklamm
This gorge is absolutely worth seeing all year long, but we recommend seeing it in the summer as you can swim in some places. You can even see some waterfalls and the gorge provides some cooler air on a hot summer day.

Duration: 2 hours 15 minutes
Ascent: 240 hm
Hauchenberg
The Alpkönigblick lookout tower on Hauchenberg truly offers an amazing view - even as far as Lake Constance. If the weather doesn't cooperate - the Allgäuer Bergbauernmuseum (mountain farmers museum) is very close by.
You can find more information here and here.
Duration: 2 hours
Ascent: 200 hm
Pfrontener Moor
Although there are more or less no metres of altitude to climb on this hike, the moorland is still worth a detour! Apart from the impressive landscape and the fauna and flora, there is also an observation tower.
You can find more information here.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Ascent: 29 hm
NOTE:
Make sure you choose your route according to your physical condition and abilities. Make sure you have appropriate equipment, clothing and footwear. Check the weather and terrain conditions in advance. If you are heading into unfamiliar terrain, share your plans with friends or family. Respect the environment, stay on marked trails and avoid risky shortcuts. Your safety is the most important thing - always plan your hikes responsibly.
