Bucket List Hikes in the "Berchtesgadener Land" (Germany)
The Berchtesgadener Land is not without reason a very popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The picturesque Königssee or the imposing Watzmann - there is much to see and much to do. We therefore present 5 great hikes in the Berchtesgadener Land - many of them with wonderful views of the Königssee or the surrounding mountains.
Berchtesgadener Hochthron
This hike to the 1,972m high Berchtesgadener Hochthron includes magnificent views of the Watzmann and other surrounding peaks. The Störhaus is located directly on the trail and offers refreshments. Those who prefer climbing can do so on the Berchtesgadener Hochtrohnsteig (via ferrata).

Jenner
If you hike up the Jenner, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view of Lake Königssee. A viewing platform offers a great panoramic view - if you don't want to hike, you can also reach it with the Jennerbahn. Those who are hungry after the hike can buy food & drinks at the mountain station of the cable car. Paragliders taking off can also be observed here - as can marmots. This makes the Jenner definitely worth a visit!

Archenkanzel
This circular hiking trail leads, among other things, over the summit of the Grünstein, but also to the well-known Archenkanzel, which offers a breathtakingly beautiful view of Lake Königssee. Furthermore, there are three places to stop for refreshments on this tour - so you'll never be hungry. :)

Kneifelspitze
This hike to the Kneifelspitze offers a wonderful view of the Watzmann. Those who still have some energy left on the descent should not miss a short detour to the Marxenhöhe - there is also a great view of the ever-impressive Watzmann from there. The swing attached there also makes for perfect holiday photos!
